Reisensburg castle is located on a hill close to Günzburg some kilometers east of Ulm in southern Germany. It is a beautiful old castle that has been restaurated and is now used as a conference and workshop venue for Ulm University.
arrival by train:
The closest railway station is Günzburg, which can be reached conveniently from Munich (1:30 h), Ulm (20 min) and Stuttgart (1:20 h). Unfortunately, from the train station to the castle there is no public transport. We recommend using a taxi from the station to the castle (distance about 3 km).
arrival by car:
On motorway A8 take the exit Günzburg, then follow the B16 in direction Günzburg / Reisensburg. Turn left to the B10 / Dillinger Str. In direction Reisensburg, then left to Reisensburger Str. which then changes name to Günzburger Str. After about 700m turn left into Georg-Lacher Str., after 300 m again left in the Bürgermeister-Johann-Müller Str.
Or coming from Ulm:
Following the B10 from Günzburg turn right to Dillinger Str. in direction Reisensburg. After about 120m turn left to Reisensburger Str. which after a few hundred meters changes its name to Günzburger Str. Then turn left to Georg-Lacher Str. Then turn left to Bürgermeister-Johann-Müller Str.
arrival by plane:
The closest major airports are Munich and Stuttgart. From there you can take the train to Günzburg.
